LIFE GROUPS - The Heartbeat of North Point

They spent their time learning the
apostles’ teaching, sharing, breaking bread, and praying together. The
apostles were doing many miracles and signs, and everyone felt great respect for
God. All the believers were together and shared everything. They
would sell their land and the things they owned and then divide the money and
give it to anyone who needed it. The believers met together in the Temple
every day. They ate together in their homes, happy to share their food with
joyful hearts. They praised God and were liked by all the people. Every
day the Lord added those who were being saved to the group of believers.

WHAT IS A LIFE GROUP?
A Life Group is a group of 3 to 15
people who gather in a home once a week for encouragement,
growth and fun. At North Point, there is a Life Group for
you! We have Life Groups meeting on various evenings
throughout the week. For a list of available Life Groups,

WHAT
HAPPENS AT LIFE GROUP?
While people are arriving, everyone socializes and gets caught up on how things
have been going. Once it’s time to begin the meeting, the group usually s
tarts
with an “icebreaker,” which is a fun, noninvasive question designed to help
everyone get to know one another a little better. After the icebreaker, there
is a brief lesson – some Life Groups discuss the sermon from Sunday, and some go
through a topical study. After the lesson, there is a time when people can
share prayer requests, and the group prays for those requests.
Life Groups are designed to be a safe place where people can participate as much as they want, or just sit
and listen. At the end of the meeting, everyone socializes again and of course
has snack time! Many Life Groups also plan a fun, social event
periodically.
