Getting Involved
How Can I Get Involved with
the Children's Ministry?
There are many different ways to contribute to the vision and work
of God through North Point. Below is a partial list. Any person that
is involved with kids at North Point is required to undergo a
police background check and a file will be maintained.
NURSERY MINISTRY WORKER
What Do
You Do?: Provide a
safe, loving and interactive environment for the children.
Enthusiastically greet children and their parents. Pray for the
children.
What’s Fun
About This Job?:
Developing relationships with the other Nursery team members;
loving and supporting the kids and their families.
Qualifications/Requirements:
A love for kids. Willing to
work within North Point nursery guidelines (including a criminal
background check). Must be in 5th grade or older to work with
an adult.
Time
Commitment: Sunday
mornings. 9:00AM - 10:45AM
Frequency: Once a
month, twice a month, three times a month or whichever you
prefer.
CLASSROOM HELPER
What
Do You Do?: Greet
parents as they drop off their children; assist Explorers
teacher with the preschool through 1st grade class; give
individual attention to restless kids.
What’s Fun About This Job?: All
the fun of working with kids without the responsibility of
leading the class! Loving and supporting the kids and their
families; interacting with kids in a playful manner.
Qualifications/Requirements: Willing
to work within North Point children’s ministries guidelines
(including a criminal background check). A love for kids.
Time
Commitment: Sunday
mornings. 9:00AM -
10:45AM
Frequency: Once a
month, twice a month, three times a month or whichever you
prefer.
EXPLORERS TEACHER
What Do
You Do?:
Enthusiastically greet children and their parents; carefully
prepare and present lesson (curriculum provided); create an
environment where children can learn to (1) love God (2) accept
Jesus as their personal Savior (3) learn to define their lives
by their relationship with Christ (4) make a difference in their
sphere of influence and the world; attend periodic teachers
meetings.
What’s Fun
About This Job?:
Developing relationships with the other Explorer team members;
loving and supporting the kids and their families and the
opportunity to shape the spiritual development of kids.
Qualifications/Requirements:
A love for kids, a willingness
to work within the North Point children’s ministries guidelines
(which includes a criminal background check). Able to take
responsibility and direction.
Time
Commitment: Sunday
mornings. 9:00AM - 10:45AM
Frequency: Once a
month, twice a month, three times a month or whichever you
prefer.
